Austin and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day in February. We came up with this agreement to take turns each year planning for Valentine's Day and our anniversary. This year was his year, so I will get the anniversary, and then we will switch next year. It was just a way for both of us to celebrate each other in our own way each time. Anyways, we started off the day at Weightless, a therapeutic establishment here in Louisville that provides Epsom salt floating, sauna, massage, and yoga. Austin had been once before for one of the floats, and he got to chat with the owner while he was there, so he wanted to return and take me with him for something that I had never before experienced.
The plan was for Austin to do a float session, and I had a Swedish massage scheduled. I definitely want to try a float though. The only reason I didn't get one that day was because I was all dressed up and I didn't want to get my hair wet (my hair turns into a big and wavy mess when it&#…

It was a rainy day when I went out with Austin for doughnuts at Hi-Five Doughnuts and coffee at Please & Thank You. We passed a large industrial building on the way to our breakfast, so we decided to check it out afterwards when we were looking for something else to do. It ended up being connected to the Mellwood Arts Center, and it was a warehouse filled with vintage treasures known as Mellwood Antiques and Interiors.

We walked around for what felt like hours among different levels of the building. There was furniture, light fixtures, artwork, records, and so much more. I don't know if Austin ever looks for anything in particular when we look through antique stores, but I try to keep an eye out for Polaroid cameras, rotary phones, and globes. I also like vintage maps and magazines, and I usually read old postcards or the backs of photographs.
